Junior-Primary Phase consisting of Grades 1 - 3 and looks at the holistic development of the child. This is where more formal learning begins. Literacy which consists of Reading and Writing, along with Numeracy skills are put in place to fully prepare children for the Intermediate and Senior Phases. Learning is done on a more practical level and through hands-on discovery, exploring the most effective way for each and every child to learn. This is also a time to start good work habits, which can be carried forward. The social and emotional development of the child continues to be a large focus of the Junior-Primary Phase classroom and all children are encouraged to become more independent, believe in themselves and to be the best they can be.
