Form 1 - Form 6

The curriculum has an emphasis on building a foundation of academic excellence. We ensure that our academic programme is challenging and imaginative, designed to foster intellectual curiosity and a lifelong love of learning, and equipped to taking on the challenges of change and progress.

We follow the Cambridge Assessment International Education Curriculum from Form 1 up until the end of Form 6. Learners will write their first external IGCSE examinations in the end of Form 4 and then write their AS-Level examinations at the end of Form 5 and their A-level examinations at the end of Form 6.

School hours

The academic day begins at 07h40 and end at 14h40. Sport begins at 14h45 and continues until 15h45 at which time buses will depart. School closes at 13h00 on Fridays.

Learning Areas

Pupils in Form 1 are expected to take the following subjects: English (Home Language), First Additional Language (Afrikaans, French, SiSwati or Mandarin), Mathematics, Natural Sciences, History, Geography, EMS, Art, Travel & Tourism, and Design & Technology forms part of the curriculum.

In Form 3, learners are required to study 8 subjects for their IGCSE course. The three compulsory subjects are English, Mathematics and one Second Language. The other five subjects are chosen based on the subjects on offer, and are done in close consultation with parents, the IGCSE coordinator and subject teachers. The jump from IGCSE to AS is significant and therefore there can be no assumption of an automatic progression from Form 4 to Form 5.

In Form 5, students are required to take four subjects for their AS-level examination which is equivalent to SA Matric. In Form 6, students are required to take three subjects at A-level which will allow entry into International Universities.
