Governing Council and Parents Teachers Association

These two bodies play an integral role in the school. The Governing Council is a policy making, strategic body, whilst the PTA is more involved in supporting UFS International in its endeavours to promote social interaction amongst the parent body, and to raise funds for the "nice to haves' items not provided for in the School budget.

Below is an outline of the roles of the Governing Council, as well as the current members who are serving on them.

UFS International is a registered Section 21 Company and its affairs are managed by a Governing Body, who assures the good governance of the School. The Governing Body, in particular, monitors the School budget and spending, as well as put systems in place for the continued growth and development of the School campus.

The role of the Governing Council:

  • Visionary leadership of our school
  • Budget approval
  • Appointments of Council members and the Executive Principal
  • Appointments of Sub-committee for specific reasons
  • Guidance and direction of the School Management Committee
